Abstract:Postoperative acute pain caused by surgical tissue injury remains a significant clinical challenge.Data from the China Acute Postoperative Pain Study(CAPOPS)indicate that in 2023,48.7%of adult surgical patients in ma-inland China experienced moderate to severe postoperative pain, causing considerable distress and an urgent need for effec-tive analgesia.Pain management is a core competency in anesthesiology.Integrating intelligent analgesia systems with long-acting local anesthetic nerve block techniques offers a novel approach for postoperative pain control.Ultrasound-guided continuous peripheral nerve blockade with liposomal bupivacaine combined with artificial intelligence-assisted patient-controlled analgesia(Ai-PC A)can provide sustained and optimized analgesic effects while reducing total analgesic con-sumption.This strategy enables comprehensive multimodal pain management and supports the concept of a Virtual Pain Unit(VPU)for standardized care organization using intelligent analgesic devices. The combined application of intelligent analgesia and long-acting local anesthetic nerve block can enhance postoperative pain control, accelerate recovery, and improve patient comfort.Widespread implementation of this integrated approach in clinical practice is expected to provide high-quality analgesia and improve perioperative patient experience.
