Abstract:Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of transcutaneous acupoint electrical stimulation(TEAS)combined with segmented Kegel exercise training in improving bladder dysfunction after radical hysterectomy in cervical cancer patients. Methods A total of 174 patients who underwent radical hysterectomy for cervical cancer from May 2020 to February 2023 were enrolled and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group(n=87 each).Perio-perative indicators were recorded, and postoperative bladder function recovery, incidence of urinary retention, symptoms of bladder dysfunction, and urodynamic parameters were assessed. The Pelvic Floor Distress Inventory-20(PFDI-20)and Pelvic Floor Impact Questionnaire-7(PFIQ-7)scores were compared between the two groups at different time points. Results Compared with the control group, the observation group showed significantly shorter recovery times(P<0.05).The observation group had a higher proportion of patients with Grade Ⅰ bladder function recovery and lower proportions in Grades Ⅱ-Ⅳ and urinary retention incidence(P<0.05).Additionally,the time to bladder function recovery was shor-ter,and residual urine volume after catheter removal was lower(P<0.05).The incidence of urinary urgency, frequency, dysuria, incomplete voiding, stress urinary incontinence, and difficulty in urination was significantly reduced in the obser-vation group(P<0.05).Urodynamic parameters such as detrusor pressure, bladder compliance, and urethral closure pressure were significantly higher in the observation group(P<0.05).PFIQ-7 and PFDI-20 scores were also lower, indicating reduced pelvic floor dysfunction and symptom impact(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of TEAS and segmented Kegel exercise effectively promotes bladder function recovery, improves urodynamic indicators, alleviates pelvic floor dysfunction, and reduces the incidence of urinary retention in patients after radical hysterectomy for cervical cancer.
