Abstract:Developmental language disorder(DLD)is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders, and effective intervention is essential to improve the quality of life of children with DLD.In recent years,computer-aided training(CAT)has been widely used as an innovative treatment in language therapy. However, the effectiveness of CAT in different domains of language ability has not been clarified. The purpose of this review was to summarize of the effective-ness of CAT in language therapy for children with DLD and its influential factors. This review showed that CAT was effec-tive in improving phonological and vocabulary skills in children with DLD,but its efficacy in advanced language skills such as grammar was unclear. There was currently less evidence of CAT's effectiveness in improving expressive language skills in children with DLD,and there was a need to develop more CAT applications for expressive language in the future.Fac-tors affecting the effectiveness of CAT language therapy include the domain of intervention, the person and place the inter-vention is delivered, and the duration and intensity of the intervention. In the future, speech analytics and text analytics could be introduced to enable immediate feedback on CAT-based expressive language therapy and to increase patients'motivation to participate in therapy. In addition, higher evidence-based levels of research evidence were needed to guide future updates and iterations of CAT applications.
