Abstract:Objective To elucidate the role of ovarian tumor domain-containing protein-3(OTUD3)as a prognostic biomarker in endometrial cancer(EC)through immunohistochemical staining and statistical analysis. Methods The study involved 86 patients with type Ⅱ EC.Immunohistochemical staining for OTUD3 was performed, and the pa-tients were divided into low OTUD3 expression group(n=26)and high OTUD3 expression group(n=60)based on stai-ning intensity. The correlation between OTUD3 expression and other clinicopathological factors,as well as its prognostic impact, was analyzed using statistical methods. Results Immunohistochemical analysis of OTUD3 expression in type ⅡEC tissues indicated a significant positive correlation between high OTUD3 expression level and overall survival(OS)(HR=0.405,P=0.044),but high OTUD3 expression level was not acsociated with progression-free survival(PFS)(HR=0.513,P=0.079),based on univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses.High OTUD3 expression was also associated with local recurrence in recurrent cases(P=0.041).Conclusion OTUD3 expression can predict survival and disease recurrence in patients with type Ⅱ EC.
