Abstract:Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of floating needle therapy combined with transcranial mag-netic stimulation(TMS)in the treatment of post-stroke shoulder-hand syndrome(PSHS)during the recovery period af-ter stroke. Methods Eighty patients with post-stroke shoulder-hand syndrome in the recovery period were selected and randomly divided into the experimental group(n=40)and the control group(n=40).Both groups received routine comprehensive treatment for stroke in Western medicine. The experimental group received floating needle therapy com-bined with transcranial magnetic stimulation, while the control group received conventional rehabilitation therapy. The Shoulder-Hand Syndrome Scale(SHSS),Short-Form McGill Pain Questionnaire(SF-MPQ),and Fugl-Meyer As-sessment for Upper Extremity(FMA-UE)were used to assess the degree of upper limb impairment, motor function, pain symptoms, and activities of daily living before and after intervention.Chi-square test and t-test were used to compare the general data and efficacy indicators of patients. Results Compared with before treatment, the SHSS score and McGill Pain Questionnaire score decreased in both groups after treatment(P<0.05).There was a statistically significant differ-ence in SHSS score and McGill Pain Questionnaire score between the two groups after treatment(P<0.05).Compared with before and after intervention, the FMA-UE score and Modified Barthel Index score in both groups significantly in-creased(P<0.05).There was a statistically significant difference in these scores between the two groups after treatment(P<0.05).During the intervention period, there were no significant adverse reactions in either group. Conclusion Floating needle therapy combined with transcranial magnetic stimulation can significantly improve PSHS.
