Abstract:Objective To explore the difference between self-made fall risk assessment scale and More scale for hemodialysis patients. Methods A total of 215 hemodialysis patients admitted to the Blood Purification Center of People's Hospital of Northern Guangdong from July 2021 to May 2022 were selected.Patients were assessed using a self-made hemodialysis patient fall risk assessment scale and the Morse fall risk assessment scale, respectively,to screen for high-risk fall patients. All patients were followed up for at least six months to observe the occurrence of fall events and the as-sessment value of different scales for fall events. Results The reliability and validity of the self-made hemodialysis pa-tient fall risk assessment scale were 89.34%and 87.30%,respectively.During the follow-up period,a total of 35 pa-tients experienced fall events and were included in the observation group, while the remaining 180 patients were included in the control group. The observation group had higher scores in all items and total scores of the self-made hemodialysis patient fall risk assessment scale and Morse scale, except for the item"more than one medical diagnosis",and the differ-ences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Using the scores of the scales as independent variables and patient progno-sis outcomes as dependent variables,ROC curve analysis showed that the Youden index of the self-made scale was higher than that of the Morse scale. Conclusion For hemodialysis patients, the use of the self-made hemodialysis patient fall risk assessment scale is more targeted.Compared with the Morse scale, the self-made scale has a better assessment value for the fall risk of hemodialysis patients, providing a predictive approach for early prevention of falls in hemodialysis pa-tients,and is worthy of promotion and application.
