Abstract:Objective To explore the relationship between age, gender and positive results and positive correla-tion index in head-up tilt test(HUTT).Methods A retrospective review of all the 333 patients who have underwent HUTT test for syncope diagnosis were conducted, included 152 males(45.6%)and 181 females(54.4%).The positive patients has been divided into the basic experiment positive group and the drug test positive group. The positive results were divided into vasodepressive type, cardioinhibitory type and mixture type. All patients were divided into 13-35 years,36-50 years,51-65 years and older than 65 years groups according to their age. Results Among different age groups(from young to old),the number of female positive patients had statistical difference, specifically, the younger the age,the more female positive patients.Positive mixture type patients in different age groups, the older the age,the less mixture type patients and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was significant difference between gender groups in mixture type patients, with female patients significantly more than male patients(P<0.05).In the the basic experiment positive group and the drug test positive group, the difference between blood pressure at the beginning of baseline trial and blood pressure at the time of positive results showed an extreme correlation with increasing age(P<0.001).In other words, the older the age,the more significant the decrease in blood pressure at positive results.Conclu-sion Considering the difference of gender and age, there were statistical differences in positive rate, positive typing, and blood pressure drop at the end of HUTT.
