Abstract:Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of serum transient receptor potential channel 1(TRPC1)and preprotein invertase subtilis lysozyme 9(PCSK9)in elderly patients with chronic heart failure,so as to provide ideas for clinical treatment and intervention. Methods A total of 80 elderly patients with chronic heart failure diagnosed and treated in our hospital from October 2020 to June 2022 were selected as the observation group, and 50 healthy people in the same period were selected as the control group. The levels of various biochemical indicators be-tween the observation group and the control group were compared,as well as the patients with different concentric function-al grades. The correlation between the biochemical indicators and analyze the risk factors of death in elderly patients with chronic heart failure were analyzed using multifactor logistic regression. The levels of serum TRPC1 and PCSK9 in patients without adverse cardiovascular events and patients with adverse cardiovascular events were compared. Results The serum levels of TRPC1,PCSK9,N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP),and left ventricular end-diastolic diameter in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, while the left ventricular ejection fraction was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Among patients with New York Heart Association(NYHA)class Ⅳheart failure, serum levels of TRPC1,PCSK9,NT-proBNP,and left ventricular end-diastolic diameter were higher than those in NYHA class Ⅲ and class Ⅱ patients, and NYHA class Ⅲ patients had higher levels of these indicators than NYHA class Ⅱ patients(P<0.05).Left ventricular ejection fraction in NYHA class Ⅳ patients was lower than that in NYHA class Ⅲ and class Ⅱ patients, and NYHA class Ⅲ patients had a lower ejection fraction than NYHA class Ⅱ pa-tients(P<0.05).In elderly patients with chronic heart failure, serum levels of TRPC1 and PCSK9 were positively corre-lated with NT-proBNP and left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(P<0.05),and negatively correlated with left ven-tricular ejection fraction(P<0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis results showed that TRPC1,PCSK9,NT-proBNP levels, left ventricular ejection fraction, and left ventricular end-diastolic diameter were all risk factors for death in elderly patients with chronic heart failure(P<0.05).Within 6 months of follow-up,the readmission rate for patients with chronic heart failure was 31.25%,and the all-cause mortality rate was 7.50%.Patients who experienced adverse cardiovascular events had higher serum levels of TRPC1 and PCSK9 than those who did not experience adverse cardiovas-cular events(P<0.05).Conclusion Serum TRPC1 and PCSK9 levels are abnormally elevated in elderly patients with chronic heart failure. They are risk factors affecting the death of elderly patients with chronic heart failure.
