Abstract:Objective To investigate the biological function of mangrove Candida parapsilokis exopolysaccharide (EPS). Methods The vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC) model of BALB/c mice was constructed to intervene with EPS on the vagina. The local tissues of the vagina were collected for paraffin section, HE staining and microchip detection. Results PMNs infiltration was significantly reduced, and the expression levels of S100 A8 and S100 A9 were down-regulated. Conclusion The application of EPS has a good anti-inflammatory effect in the VVC model. This effect is correlated to extracellular polysaccharides on S100 A8/A9 expression in dose dependence manner.
