Effect of Oxygen Therapy on the Healing of Incontinence－Associated Dermatitis

Abstract：Objective To observe the effect of oxygen therapy on healing of incontinence －associated dermatitis in rats.Methods The rats with incontinent dermatitis were treated with high (9 L/min), mediate (6 L/min) and low (3 L/min) concentration of oxygen and control group which without oxygen treated .The recovery of dermatitis and his-topathological changes were observed 3 days after oxygen therapy.Results Compared with the control group , the severity of macular incontinence －associated dermatitis, the scores of dermatitis related items and the severity of inflammatory cell infiltration were significantly alleviated in mediate and high oxygen treatment groups (P＜0.05).The healing effect of in-continence－associated dermatitis was also better in mediate and high oxygen treatment groups than that of control group . Conclusion Oxygen therapy at 6 L/min－9 L/min has a good effect on healing of incontinent dermatitis , which can ef-fectively alleviate the symptoms of incontinence －associated dermatitis and promote the its healing.
