Abstract:Objective To investigate the rehabilitation effect of professional multidisciplinary nursing program for patients after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Methods Eligible patients (n = 100) were divided into experimental group and control group. Based on the routine nursing mode, the experimental group received additional professional multidisciplinary nursing program. The occurrence of major adverse cardiac events, healthy behaviors and the satisfaction of patients with medical services were observed 6 months after discharge. Results Six months after discharge, 7 cases lost follow - up in control group and 3 cases lost follow - up in experimental group. The incidence of major adverse cardiac events and recurrence rate of angina in experimental group were significantly lower than those in control group (P<0.05), Health behaviors, including medication compliance, exercise compliance, smoking cessation and maintenance of healthy weight, were significantly better maintained in experimental group than control group (P<0.05). Patient satisfaction was significantly higher in experimental group than in control group (P<0.01). Conclusion Professional multidisciplinary care can promote the health behavior, reduce the incidence of adverse cardiac events, and improve the effectiveness of cardiac rehabilitation and satisfaction with medical services in PCI patients.
