The rearing styles of children aged 0-3 years old in Guangzhou of Panyu District and its influence factor analysis

Abstract：Objective To investigate the rearing styles and its influencing factors in children aged 0-3 years in Luopu Street, Panyu District, Guangzhou. Methods Totally 2 509 children, who were born from October 1, 2013 to September 30, 2016 were included. The questionnaire of parenting style was used to collect the basic information of children, parents and grandparents, as well as family economic status and other 13 information. The data were analyzed by chi square test. Results The rearing patterns was related to children's age, parental occupation, paternal age, paternal education level, maternal education level, family monthly income, age of grandparents, education level of grandparents and other factors. Conclusion Many factors affect child rearing styles. The basic situation of family members and family economic conditions affect the way of child rearing.
