Abstract:Objective To study the cellular immune status in patients with HIV infection complicated with cervical cancer or cancerous lesions ( including different levels of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and carcinoma in situ) , thus to provide clinical research support for evaluating prognosis and treatment intervention of cervical cancer and precancerous lesion in women with AIDS. Methods The clinical data of 39 patients diagnosed of HIV/AIDS with cervical diseases were retrospectively analyzed. The patient's clinical stage, test results, treatment options, the outcome of the disease and follow-up results were included. The correlation between different T lymphocyte levels and diagnosis of cervical cancer or precancerous lesions was analyzed. Results The average age of the 39 patients was ( 39. 57 ± 9. 76) years old, among them, among whom 25 cases were diagnosed with CIN and 14 cases were diagnosed as cervical cancer. There were 29 cases of CD4 + T lymphocyte decrease at admission. HPV infection was detected in 31 patients. Among 25 cases with genotyping the HPV infection, 18 cases were with high risk genotype infection. The mean CD4 + T lymphocyte count was( 305. 76 ± 245. 25) ·μL-1 at admission, and 29 cases was < 500·μL-1 . The severer cervical lesions, the lower CD4 + T lymphocyte count was, with significant difference ( F =3. 423, P < 0. 05) . Conclusion There is a general inhibition of cellular immune function in HIV/AIDS patients with cervical diseases. The number of CD4 + T lymphocytes is negatively correlated with the degree of cervical lesions. It suggests that the cellular immune function of the human body is closely cirrelated to the occurrence and development of cervical cancer and different grades of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia.
