Abstract:Objective To investigate the expression of Tim -3 in CD3+T cells of patients with acute coronary syndrome ( ACS) by flow cytometry and to analyze its correlation with serum inflammation .Methods Forty seven pa-tients with ACS ( ACS group ) , forty three patients with stable angina pectoris ( SAP group ) and 40 healthy subjects ( con-trol group) were enrolled in this study.Flow cytometry was used to detect the expression of peripheral CD 3+T cells, and to analyze the correlation between Tim -3 expression and clinical characteristics , TNF-α, CRP and LDL-C levels.Re-sults The levels of TNF-α, CRP and LDL-C in ACS group were significantly higher than those in SAP group and con-trol group (P<0.05).The expression rate of CD3 +T cells in peripheral blood in ACS group was significantly higher than those in SAP group and control group (P<0.05).The expression rate of CD3+T cells in peripheral blood in SAP group was significantly higher than that in control group (P<0.05).The expression rate of Tim-3 in CD3 +T cells in patients with myocardial infarction was significantly higher than that in patients with unstable angina ( P=0.004 ) .The expression of Tim -3 in CD3 +T cells was significantly differed among patients with different stenosis degree ( P =0.004), it was significantly higher in patients with severe stenosis than those with mild to moderate (P<0.05).There were positive correlation between the expression of Tim -3 in CD3+T cells and TNF-α, CRP or LDL-C.Conclusion Tim-3 is highly expressed in peripheral CD 3+T cells in patients with ACS .It is correlated to the severity of coronary artery stenosis and inflammatory response .
