The Significance and expression of serum LncRNA GAS5 in PCOS patients combined with insulin resistance

Abstract：Objective To investigate the correlation between LncRNA GAS 5 and PCOS insulin resistance , which provides a new idea for the molecular mechanism study of PCOS .Methods Thirty patients with PCOS ( PCOS group ) and 30 patients with simple tubal factors infertility or male factors (non-PCOS group) were collected and compared .The clinical characteristics , including BMI , fasting blood glucose , insulin, HOMA-IR and peripheral blood samples for ser-um LncRNA GAS5 expression levels , were obtained .Results There was no significant difference in HOMA -IR between the two groups .The fasting blood glucose of PCOS group was significantly higher than that of non -PCOS group ( P=0.000).The plasma concentration of IL -18 of PCOS group was significantly higher than that of non -PCOS group (P<0.0001).The expression of LncRNA GAS5 in PCOS group was significantly lower than that in non -PCOS group (P<0.0001), and the expression of GAS5 was negatively correlated with HOMA -IR.Conclusion The expression of Ln-cRNA GAS5 in PCOS group is significantly down -regulated , and the low expression of GAS 5 is closely correlated with in-sulin resistance .The low expression of LncRNAGAS 5 may be an important factor in development and progression of P-COS.
