Expression of CC16 in myocardial tissues in septic rats.

Abstract：Objective To investigate the expression of CC 16 in myocardial tissues in septic rats , and its role in sepsis-induced myocardial injury in rats .Methods Forty healthy male Wistar rats were randomly divided into sham group (SH group, n=20) and sepsis group (CLP group, n=20).The sepsis models were established by cecal ligation and puncture (CLP).The levels of Serum brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) and cardiac troponin I (cTnI) were measured 24 hours after CLP .The myocardial tissue pathological changes and the expression of CC 16 in myocardial tissue were ob-served.Results In CLP group, myocardial tissues were seriously injured , the levels of Serum BNP and cTnI were signif-icantly higher than SH group (P<0.01), and the level of myocardial CC16 was significantly lower than SH group (P<0.01).Conclusion The expression of CC16 decreases in myocardial tissues in septic rats , CC16 may play an important role in the pathogenesis of sepsis -induced myocardial injury .
