Abstract:Objective To explore the effects and mechanism of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) in the treatment of acute liver failure caused by Amanita verna poisoning .Methods Ten clean grade male SD rats ( weight 80 g) were selected as donators of BMSCs .Forty-five adult rats ( weight 220~250 g) were selected experimental subjects for hepatic failure model of BMSCs infusion .Fifteen rats were randomly assigned into blank control group , and the other 30 were given with Amanita toxin gavage for liver failure modeling , as the successful models were further randomly divided into 2 groups ,model group and injection treatment group .The 7-day survival rate , liver function , blood coagula-tion function , inflammatory factors and liver pathology were compared .Results Compared with model group , significantly less weight loss and higher 7-day survival were revealed in treatment group (P<0.05).Significant improvements in liv-er function, blood coagulation, inflammatory factors and liver pathology index were observed in treatment group , when compared with model group (P<0.05).Conclusion BMSCs are effective in treatment of Amanita poisoning -induced acute hepatic failure in rats , and can significantly improve the liver function .
