Abstract:Objective To discuss the expression and clinical significance of c -Mesenchymal epithelial transition factor ( c-Met) in lung adenocarcinoma tissue .Methods Adenocarcinoma specimens from 40 patients of lung cancer with complete follow-up data were collected , while normal lung tissues from 20 controls were also attainted .Expression of c-Met and phosphorylated c -Met ( p-Met) were assessed using immunohistochemical method .The correlation analysis was performed among the expression of c -Met and p-Met, clinical features and pathological results .Results The posi-tive rates of c-Met and p-Met were significantly higher in lung adenocarcinoma than controls (P<0.05).There was no significant correlation between the expression of c -Met and p-Met in lung adenocarcinoma and age , sex, smoking histo-ry, tumor size or degree .In cases with lymph node metastasis , the expression of c -Met and p-Met was significantly up-regulated (P<0.05).There was significantly positive correlation between c -Met and p-Met in lung adenocarcino-ma tissues (r=0.868, P<0.05).Conclusion The up-regulation of c -Met and p-Met is closely related with the occurrence and development of lung adenocarcinoma , providing certain evaluation application on the tumor biological be-havior and clinical treatment .
