The impact of differentiated thyroid carcinoma alternative treatment compliance on thyroid hormone levels and quality of life

Abstract:Objective To study the differentiated thyroid carcinoma replacement therapy compliance on the thy-roid hormone level and quality of life.Methods By using cluster sampling method, field investigation was carried out on 270 patients differentiated thyroid carcinoma.Data were collected through face-to-face interviews and laboratory data were also accessed, including self-designed medication self-report questionnaire, the level of thyroid hormone, hypot-hyroidism self-test table and the SF-36 health survey.Results The thyroid hormone replacement therapy compliance was 95.2%, including 62 cases of patients with poor compliance;which also significantly affected the level of thyroid hor-mone (P<0.05).Significantly lower rate in more than 5 "yes"answers hypothyroidism self-test table was observed in patients with good compliance than those with poor compliance ( P<0.05) .Significant better life quality was revealed in patients with good compliance according to SF-36 scores ( P<0.05 ) .Conclusion Good treatment compliance of pa-tients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma can stable thyroid hormone level and improve the quality of life.
