Abstract:Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of trans - TrkC gene neural stem cells(NSCs)on the recovery of neural function after spinal cord injury. Methods A total of 30 SD rats were randomly divided into 3 groups:Control group(Group A),NSCs transplantation group(Group B),trans - TrkC gene NSCs transplantation group(Group C). Cell transplantation was performed 1 day after set - up of animal model. Spinal cord injury was examines via TNF -α protein levels, pathological observation and apoptosis analysis. Results Expression of tumor necrosis factor - α in Group B and A was significantly higher than Group C(F = 121. 145,P < 0. 01). There was no significant difference be-tween Group A and B in TNF - α expression within 24 h(P > 0. 05). According to HE and NISSLE,the severest injury of neural cells was observed in Group A,followed by Group B and C. The most significant cell apoptosis was revealed in Group C,followed by Group B and A. Conclusion Trans - TrkC gene NSCs transplantation in injured spinal cord of rats can down - regulate TNF - α,suggesting reduction in secondary spinal cord injury and neuron regeneration.
