Expression of miR-572 in gastric carcinoma

Abstract：Objective To probe the expression and differences of miR -572 in gastric carcinoma and matched normal gastric tissues.Methods The expression of miR572 in 26 biopsies were tested by using real -time quantitative PCR and then to analyze the relationship between the expression and the clinic opathological data .Results Compared with matched normal gastric tissue , the miR-572 showed a high expression in 14 cases of gastric carcinoma and a low ex-pression in 12 cases of gastric carcinoma .The expression of miR-572 in gastric carcinoma are higher than normal mucosa (P<0.05).There are no significant differences between/among ages, genders, clinical stages, histological types, de-grees of differentiation and lymph node metastasis or not (P>0.05).However there is a trend that miR -572 expressed highly in adenocarcinoma , poorly differentiated , low stage and metastasis groups .Conclusion miR-572 is highly ex-pressed in gastric cancer may be related to the occurrence and development of gastric cancer ; but its clinicopathological significance and specific mechanism should be further explored .
