Influence of mild hypothermic ischemic preconditioning on liver ultrastructure damage followed ischemia-reperfusion injury
Abstract:Objective To study the influence of mild hypothermic ischemic preconditioning on liver ultrastructure followed ischemia -reperfusion injury. Methods 24 dogs were randomly divided into four groups: nonischemic controls(C) group(n=6), ischemia-reperfusion (I-R) group (n=6),ischemic preconditioning(IP) group(n=6) and mild hypothermic ischemic preconditioning(MHIP) groups(n=6). Ultrastructual changes of liver were studied by electron microscope. Results Ultrastructural damage of the liver was more severe in I-R; Ultrastructual changes of liver was mild in both of IP and MHIP,but protective effects to mitochondria was better in MHIP than that in IP(P<0.01, P<0.05). Conclusion Ischemic preconditioning has protective effects on ultrastructural damage of the liver after ischemia- reperfusion;Mild hypothermia can enhance the protective effect of IP followed hepatic ischemia -reperfusion injury.
