Efficacy of balloon dilatation in treating esophageal or cardiac stenosis
Abstract：Objective To evaluate the efficacy of balloon dilatation in treating patients with esophagostenosis after operation orradiotheraphy for carcinoma of esophagus or patients with stenosis of cardia caused by achalasia. Methods Under endoscope, one Mi-crovasive baloon was placed into the endoscope accessory channel, the other was placed in the mouth. When the balloon was placed wateror gas was injected to dilate the stenosis. Results Among 10 esophagostenosis and 6 cardiac patients, stenosis patients 94% could eatafter operation. Conclusion Microvasive balloon dilatation is an effective, simple and well - tolerated therapy for esophageal and cardiacstenosis
