Production of IL - 18 by cultured human glomerular mesangial cell induced with LPS and PHA
Abstract：Objective To study the production of IL- 18 by cultured human glomerular mesangial cell induced with LPS andPHA.Methods Human glomerular mesangial cell was cultured in vitro induced with different concentration of LPS and PHA. IL- 18 insupernatant were assayed with ELISA.Results IL- 18 can be released from MC induced with LPS and PHA in a dose dependent man-ner, IL- 18 released from MC induced with LPS was higher than that with PHA. The production of IL- 18 was significantly different be-tween LPS or PHA group and the control. Conclusion Human MC induced with LPS and PHA can release IL- 18.
