Abstract:Objective To investigate the protective mechanisms from myocardial ischemic damage of antihypertensive factor(AHF) .Methods AHF was used to protect the models (Wistar rats) of myocardial ischemic damage induced by isoproterenal(ISO, 80mg/kg s. c). The influence of AHF on the contents of myocardial molondialdehyde(MDA), myocardial calcium and TXB2 in plasma and6- keto- PGF1a was observed. Results Inthe protected group of AHF( 4.0mg/kgi.p, n=10), the oontents ofmyocardialMDA,myocardial calcium and TXB2 were significantly lowered with a mean 46.0%, 62.2% and 58.6% and 6 - keto - PGF1a increased123.4% respectively compared with non - protected group( n = 10, P < 0.05), and the degree of myocardial ischemic damage significantless( P < 0.05). Conclusion AHF can inhibit Ca2+ overload of myocardial cell and oxygen free redicals damaging induced by ISO, andalso can influence the metabolism of arachidonic acid too.
