Prevention and Control of Brucellosis in Lianshan Black Goats

Abstract：Black goats are a traditional livestock and poultry breed in Lianshan Zhuang and Yao Autonomous County,Qingyuan City,mainly raised through traditional grazing and free range.They face high risk of disease spread and weak biosafety management in the prevention and control of brucellosis.This study aims to understand the difficulties in preventing and controlling brucellosis in black goats in Lianshan County through field investigations,and explore and develop scientific prevention and control strategies.The results showed that the proportion of free range households of Heishan sheep in Lianshan Zhuang and Yao Autonomous County was 96%.The climate characteristics of"cold winters and humid summers"in the local area,overlapping grazing routes,and traditional manure treatment methods under feeding patterns have increased the potential risk of brucellosis infection and transmission.Therefore,in the process of raising black goats,Lianshan Zhuang and Yao Autonomous County should adhere to self breeding and self raising,maintain a hygienic feeding environment,control the temperature of the sheep house and other prevention and control measures to ensure the healthy breeding of black goats.
