Abstract：Chinese herbal medicine contains various bio-active compounds,such as polyphenols,alkaloids,polysaccharides,thanks to which Chinese herbal medicine has many pharmacological effects for example antioxidant,anti-inflammatory,and antibacterial.Chinese herbal medicine not only promotes animal growth and health,but also improves meat quality and flavor,which is of great significance to the feed industry and human health.This article reviews the characteristics of Chinese herbal medicine and its application in pork quality,in order to provide reference for further research on the effect of Chinese herbal medicine on meat quality.
