Abstract:Porcine epidemic diarrhea(PED)is a highly contagious intestinal disease caused by porcine epidemic diarrhea virus(PEDV).The main characteristics of PED are diarrhea, vomiting, dehydration and high mortality of suckling piglets, resulting serious economic losses to the pig industry.Timely and accurate diagnosis of PEDV infection is crucial for the prevention and control of PED.Many methods or technologies have been developed including virus isolation,enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, direct immunofluorescence assay, immunohistochemical technique, immunochromatographic assays,RT-PCR,real-time quantitative RT-PCR,nucleic acid isothermal amplification technology,CRISPR-Cas system detection technology and so on.In order to provide reference for clinical monitoring of PEDV and prevention and control of PED,antigen detection techniques and methods for PEDV were reviewed.
