Abstract:This study aimed to evaluate the effects of dietary Mulberry(Morus alba L.)Leaf Powder on growth performance, liver function and serum antioxidation of Juvenile Trionyx sinensis.A total of 120 Juvenile Trionyx sinensis were randomly divided into 2 groups,in the control group were fed a basal diet, and others in the experimental group were fed basal diets supplemented with 3%mulberry leaf powder, and the experiment lasted for 60 days. Then the growth performance, liver function, and serum antioxidant indexes of Juvenile Trionyx sinensis were determined. The results showed as follows:compared with the control group, there were no significant differences in visceral to body weight ratio and liver to body weight ratio(P>0.05),no significant differences were observed in body shape, visceral shape, and color.Meanwhile, there were no significant differences in the activities of aspartate aminotransferase(AST),alanine aminotransferase(ALT),superoxide dismutase(T-SOD),malondialdehyde(MDA),and glutathione peroxidase(GSH-PX)(P>0.05).However,the total antioxidant capacity(T-AOC)of test group was significantly lower than that of control group(P<0.05).These results suggested that dietary mulberry leaf powder does not affect the growth performance and liver function, but reduce the serum total antioxidant level of Juvenile Trionyx sinensis.
