Abstract:The aim of this experiment was to study the effects of different stocking densities on nutrient composition of shrimp body and the apparent digestibility of dry matter, crude protein, crude fat,ash and phosphorus of Litopenaeus vannamei in indoor recirculating aquaculture. The shrimp with an average initial body weight of 1.04 g were selected for the experiment. They were raised in 20 glass fiber barrels(actual water content of 300 L)with 5 stocking densities of 100 ind/m3(M10),150 ind/m3(M15),200 ind/m3(M20),250 ind/m3(M25)and 300 ind/m3(M30),respectively.There were 4 replicates for each density group.0.01%Y2O3 was added to the feed as an exogenous indicator. After the formal feeding was performed for 20 days, then the feces were continuously collected by siphon method for 20 days. The results showed that different stocking densities had no significant effects on the contents of dry matter, crude protein, crude fat, ash, calcium and phosphorus in the shrimp whole body(P>0.05).The phenylalanine content of shrimp in M10 group was significantly higher than that in M20 group(P<0.05),but no significant difference was found between M10 group and other groups(P>0.05).There were no significant effects on the contents of 14 other kinds of amino acids, total amino acids(TAA),essential amino acids(EAA),non-essential amino acids(NEAA),EAA/TAA,EAA/NEAA(P>0.05).The apparent digestibility of dry matter, crude protein, crude fat and ash of shrimp was not significantly affected by culture density(P>0.05).The apparent digestibility of phosphorus in M20 and M30 groups was significantly higher than that in M15 groups(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference compared with other groups(P>0.05).In summary, under the indoor recirculating aquaculturer with 100-300 ind/m3 stocking density of shrimp, there was no significant difference in the whole body composition of shrimp and feed apparent digestibility, indicating that the circulating aquaculture system can have a great carrying capacity of shrimp breeding, and has an advantageous in the high-density intensive aquaculture industrial application of the of white shrimp.
