Determining the content ofthiamphenicol in raw materials by ultraviolet spectrophotometry
Abstract：The content of thiamphenicol in raw materials was determined by the method of ultraviolet spectrophometry. The results showed that the maximum absorption wavelength of thiamphenicol was 228nm and the linear relation between the absorbency and the concentration was good when the concentration of thiamphenicol was between 5.0 and 20.0μ g/mL： A=0.0381C-0.1074, RZ=0.9992 （n=7） . This method was simple and quick, and the results was reliable. It could be applied to quick determination of thiamphenicol in the raw materials later.
