Abstract:To enhance the waterlogging disaster prevention capacity and improve the urban drainage warning system in Jinwan District,Zhuhai City, this study analyzed waterlogging incidents and rainfall obser-vation data from 2023 using correlation analysis, linear regression analysis, and probability density statistics. The relationship between rainfall and waterlogging was investigated by examining waterlogging data and rain-fall amounts at different time scales. The results indicate that rainfall at different time scales affects waterlog-ging to varying degrees, with the 3-hour rainfall having the most significant impact.Thresholds for water-logging initiation at various locations were determined:waterlogging begins when the 1-hour rainfall intensi-ty reaches 20 mm,the 2-hour intensity reaches 35 mm,and the 3-hour intensity reaches 45 mm.The risk of severe waterlogging increases significantly when the 1-hour rainfall intensity reaches 35 mm,the 2-hour intensity reaches 40 mm,and the 3-hour intensity reaches 60 mm.
