Abstract：On the basis of analyses of the satellite IR pictures, water vapor images and physical fields,the mechanism of successive rainstorms in Zhaoqing Prefecture on 17～19 July, 2000 and some characters of meso-scale system were illustrated.The results from the analysis exhibits much practical valure for operational forecast of successive rainstorms.
