Abstract:Myocardial wall motion dysfunction represents a pivotal early pathophysiological mechanism underlying the structural and functional deterioration observed in various cardiovascular diseases, and it is strongly correlated with patient prognosis.Gated myocardial perfusion imaging is a cornerstone non-invasive imaging modality for evaluating myocardial ischemia and viability in patients with cardiovascular disorders.Utilizing advanced post-processing software, gated myocardial perfusion imaging enables the quantification of both global and regional left ventricular functional parameters.Recent advancements have significantly enhanced myocardial wall motion assessment. These include dedicated cardiac SPECT technology, optimized acquisition protocols, sophisticated image reconstruction algorithms, and the integration of artificial intelligence. This review examines the application value and research progress of gated myocardial perfusion imaging in cardiovascular diseases. It focuses on early diagnosis, risk stratification, and prognostic evaluation, particularly in ischemic heart disease.Additionally, the review critically analyzes the current limitations of G-MPI.It also explores future directions to provide novel insights for precise diagnosis and therapeutic management of cardiovascular diseases.
