Abstract:In this study, the main structural dimensions of the steel-concrete composite slab girder and the concrete prefabricated small box girder, the comprehensive unit price economic index, the main material index and the construction and maintenance fee were compared. The economic advantages of the two structural types in the medium and small span highway bridges were obtained.Based on the various indices, for the 25 m and 30 m span bridges commonly used in the economic deployment of small and medium-span bridges, the cost on per square meter of steel-concrete composite slab beams are 12% and 15% higher than those of concrete small box beams, respectively. This means that in the middle and small-span road bridge, the economy of concrete prefabricated box girder structure are more advantageous than that of steel-concrete composite plate girder structure.
