Application and development of underground diaphragm wall in deep foundation pit engineering

Abstract：The diaphragm walls play an indispensable role in the"deep and big"foundation pit projects in dense urban construction areas. Due to the problems of large horizontal deformation and poor balance of strength during the excavation of foundation pits due to cantilevered ground-linked walls, the use of earth-linked wall-anchor cable, ground-linked wall-interior support, etc. combined with special-shaped underground continuous wall support system, improves the adaptability of the earth-linked wall to deep foundation pit engineering. This paper reviews and prospects the form of composite support, design method and construction process of underground diaphragm wall in deep foundation pit engineering.
