The interventional therapy of upper extremity deep vein obstruction

Abstract：To investigate the therapeutic method and effect of interventional therapy in patients with obstruction of upper extremity deep vein. We collected the patients from January 2007 to May 2015 as follows: 27 patients with upper extremity deep venous thrombosis, stenosis or occlusion underwent interventional therapy, 3 patients with temporary filter underwent thrombolytic therapy and balloon dilatation therapy, 24 patients underwent balloon dilatation and stent implantation therapy. All the therapeutic effects were investigated. All the patients had no severe complication. 23 patients had complete remission of clinical manifestation, 3 patients had partial remission of clinical manifestation, 1 patient had no improvement of clinical manifestation. Interventional therapy in patients with obstruction of upper extremity deep vein can quickly remove the clinical manifestation due to vein drainage disturbance, and it is safe and effective.
