CT diagnosis and clinical significance of mental disorder caused by brain injury

Abstract:To investigate the clinical significance of CT and diagnosis of patients with mental disorders caused by brain trauma.Methods Retrospective analysis of clinical data of the Third People’s Hospital of Foshan from 2010 September to 2012 September, 86 patients with psychiatric disorders were caused by brain trauma, brain CT examination results and analysis of the lesion were studied as well.Results In patients with psychiatric injury, the brain CT abnormal rate was 86% , brain tissue pathological type with cerebral atrophy, cerebromalacia, hydrocephalus, subdural effusion and brain edema were more common, the lesion was mainly in temporal lobe, frontal lobe, basal ganglia, pillow (top) lesions in cerebral cortex and brain matter leaves, or multiple sites.Conclusion The lobes of the brain damage and mental disorders are closely related, so CT examination is necessary for patients with traumatic brain injury, it helps clinicians give comprehensive treatment to patients complicated with mental disorder recover from brain damage.
