The functions of 8 garden trees in decontaminating polluted atmosphere
Abstract:We experimented on the functions of 8 garden trees including F. altissima, F. microcarpa and so forth in decontaminating sulfur dioxide and fluoride and found that F. altissima, F. microcarpa and T. spectabilis not only grew well in areas polluted by SO2 and fluoride but also did well in absorbing air pollutants and fluoride and G. robusta and T. championii had good absorption of similar pollutants. The findings are expected to help elect garden plant seedlings to decontaminate the polluted atmosphere by ceramic industry.
