The clinical application of high-strength fiber to the control of Cracked Tooth Syndrome
Abstract：Objective To observe the treatment effect of high-strength fiber used to control Cracked Tooth Syndrome. Methods 60 patients suffering from cracked tooth received a treatment of bonding ligation with high-strength fiber tape from June to December in 2010 and the effect of such treatment was examined in three, six and twelve months. Results The examination showed that respective efficiency was 73. 33%, 85. 00% and 89. 66%. No abutment tooth break, fiber break and margin secondary caries occurred. Conclusion High-strength fiber has significant effects on the control of Cracked Tooth Syndrome and vital pulp while devastation is less. It is worth generalizing and using in clinical treatment. But the long-term effects are still to be further observed.
