Discussion on legal requirement of ground motion parameter selection for seismic design of buildings
Abstract：.In light of relevant laws on seismic design, we carried out a discussion on ＂ground motion parameter selection for seismic design of buildings＂. It was concluded that, on the provisions of laws, if the ground motion parameters drawn from ＂report of evaluation of seismic safety＂ are different from those stipulated in Code for Seismic Design of Buildings, the two groups of parameters should be calculated respectively and the maximum value （envelope value） of seismic effect should be adopted in seismic design.
