A genetic-algorithm-based analysis and design of college scheduling system
Abstract:Course timetabling is a multi--constraint and a multi-objective optimization problem. In this paper, we set goals for optimizing course timetabling, designed models for genetic algorithm and provided a reasonable algorithm for the adaptability to calculations so as to solve this problem. An optimized course timetable was obtained through the selection, the assimilation and the variation of the initial genus of data. Additionally, we carried out a systemic test of real data and analyzed the impact of various parameters on genetic operations and results.
