Abstract:In the context of globalization and deep mutual learning among diverse cultures, cultural inheritance and innovation have become strategic propositions to safeguard the roots of civilization and demonstrate cultural subjectivity. As the core medium for the inheritance of civilization, books have surpassed the physical boundaries of material carriers in their binding design, and have been elevated to a three-dimensional narrative system of cultural genes.Contemporary design practice focuses on the modern translation of eastern aesthetic genes, constructing a dual paradigm of traditional symbol translation and spatial form reconstruction by decoding the symbolic semantics of traditional patterns and the spatial logic of layout architecture. In the creative transformation of traditional genes, designers use parametric design thinking to reconstruct visual order and form a modular method system for cultural translation. It has proven that this innovative path fully preserves the active code of cultural genes.Through creative bridging of temporal and spatial dimensions,it provides a methodological model for traditional reconstruction in the field of book design, and promotes the paradigm transition of design language from cultural consciousness to diverse coexistence.
