On the existence types of Chinese mythological resources in contemporary novel narratives

Abstract：As an important representative of China's fine traditional cultural resources,myths have been passed down from ancient times to the present,nourishing the spiritual world of the Chinese nation through creative transformation.In contemporary novel narratives,the creative transformation of mythological resources by writers is manifested in three aspects:the re-telling transformation of story resources,the integration transformation of archetype resources,and the re-creation transformation of thinking resources.These transformations have expanded the channels for mythological resources to enter contemporary novel narratives,and have also promoted the innovative development of mythological resources in modern society in terms of content,form,and meaning.The life of myths has always been vigorous and evergreen;in fact,they have never truly left humanity.The borrowing of mythological resources by contemporary novels provides a narratological solution for the return of myths to modern society,and the mythological experience that readers obtain as a result will undoubtedly be more vivid and lively.
