The body in Plato's writing

Abstract:In Plato's dialogues, the body exists in many forms, but is often presented in a repressed and blocked manner. In the Phaedrus, the body is not only closely connected to the soul but also serves as a crucial intermediary for discussions on truth. In the Phaedo, the body interrupts the arrival of"sound"with its death-like appearance. The many writings on the body constitute the author's ambivalent attitude towards the body, while also revealing the intention behind his esoteric writing.
