Research on the current situation of the international image construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area

Abstract：A positive international image is a reflection of the soft power of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area(GBA),and national mainstream media play a crucial role in shaping this image.By analyzing high-frequency words,thematic classifications,and vocabulary usage in news texts,this study reveals how the image of the GBA is constructed in the minds of Japanese audiences.The findings indicate that the Japanese edition of People's Daily Online frequently highlights the core cities of the GBA,infrastructure developments,and advancements in science and technology,creating an image of a highland for infrastructure technology development and diversified economic development in the Greater Bay Area.Additionally,the coverage extends to social and cultural aspects,higher education,and tourism,providing Japanese audiences with a comprehensive and enriched understanding of the GBA.
