Abstract：There are many different opinions about the origin of the Chinese Loong symbol.The"sacrifice theory"is guided by Marxist practical philosophy and cultural anthropology,and examines the generation mechanism of the dragon symbol from the perspectives of"function theory"and"communication theory".The Chinese Loong symbol originated from primitive sacrifice rituals.As the intersection of social and religious axes in the cultural coordinate system,it is a life form generated by sacrificing various tribal totem animals to the original snake god for the purpose of"two productions".As a medium and product of cultural exchange,it achieves the unity of social differences and value recognition.
