Abstract：Spanning five generations during the Qing dynasty,the Zhang Jinfang family in Longjiang of Shunde was known for its refined and elegant demeanor,establishing a commendable family tradition characterized by filial piety,brotherly affection,literary inheritance,and selective friendships.The family was distinguished by a zeal for learning and modesty regarding fame and wealth,courage and integrity coupled with gentleness and generosity,and industriousness in managing household affairs with a compassionate heart.The formation of this family tradition was influenced by the ancestral legacy,the zeitgeist,and the local culture of Lingnan.
