Art of Restaurants Naming and Its Appreciation in Guangzhou

Abstract：Word-based restaurant names in Guangzhou are image-provoking and highly artistic. In light of Aesthetic Linguistics, this paper classifies 6 types of naming and illustrates the art-form, language art and aesthetic features characterized in the selected exemplified restaurants’ names. And all these may add certain guiding significance to our deepening understanding in the art of restaurants naming and its appreciation.
