Study on 16 Errors in“Manuscripts of Qing History-A Biography of Feng Zicai”

Abstract：Feng Zicai became a famous national hero in modern times because he commanded in winning the big victory at Zhennanguan during the China-France War. After he died, the Qing government ordered the Historical Academia to write a biography of him. However, there are many serious errors in the manuscripts, including more than 16 obvious errors, indicating that the writers lacked of sufficient respect for Feng Zicai and the necessary sense of responsibility in writing.
